I need to show this to Jonathan. He can relate. It will help him to see he's not the only one. The only difference is that we have been working on it unofficially since 2nd grade and officially since 4th grade. I can't get inside his mind, but we have developed a language and I know what to watch for.

If your wife has been quite put-upon at work, choosing to skip lunch often, and sometimes less than comfortable on the commute home, then the sink-load of dishes are the first item in the spotlight, (unfortunately for you). You are lucky, however, that the CSUN Women's Studies Dept. indoctrinated me to the societal disadvantages of being the non-bread-winner -- otherwise my compassion wouldn't be as developed as it is. First of all, my love, and second, seeing you put the truth out there, build respect that gives me more hope that you shall overcome this.
